Town of Antrim – Board of Selectmen
Meeting Minutes
January 25, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm by Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Stephen Schacht at the Antrim Town Hall.

Members Present:        Stephen Schacht, Gordon Webber, and Michael Genest
                        
Staff Present:  Galen Stearns (Town Administrator)

1.      The board reviewed the Selectmen’s minutes for Jan. 11, 2010.  Mr. Webber motioned to accept the minutes as written, Mr. Genest seconded the motion.  Passed 3/0.

2.      Mr. Webber stated that the Selectmen’s Advisory Committee will meet this Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in Peterborough to discuss the school budget.

3.      Mr. Genest reported that the Recreation Committee met last week with small attendance and went over the 2010 budget.

4.      Mr. Schacht updated the board that a public hearing was held last Tuesday, January 19, 2010 on the zoning changes being proposed.

5.      Mr. Stearns gave a financial update stating that the TAN had been paid off on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 for a total of $1,324,321.91 and presented paperwork for signature to have a new TAN in place.  He also stated that the NHDOT Bureau of Planning and Community Assistance Department has approved $408,925.68 reimbursement for the No. Main Street bridge project and that the funds should be paid to the Town by the end of the week.

Follow up to last meetings question of why the Town was paying for heating oil for the American Legion; this started when a number of organizations were displaced from meeting at the Town Hall, the American Legion allowed these organizations to meet in their facility and the Town agreed to pay the costs of heating.

6.      Ms. Nelkins inquired about the status of the energy committee, when it was established and who is on it.  Mr. Stearns will research.

7.      Mr. Beblowski asked about the Town owing the conservation fund $30,000 and when it will be replaced.  He also requested that a monthly report be given to the Conservation Commission showing the fund balance.


There being no further business, the Mr. Genest motioned to adjourn, Mr. Webber seconded, passed 3/0 at 8:34 pm
